I want this to be: 2008 Year of the Completed Goals.

A Blog is one thing I always say I am going to do. I have wanted to have a web presence & blog for some time but the time to do it effectively has always eluded me. I have realized that I’m involved in too many things to spend the time necessary to make it an effective presentation of what I am capable of so don’t expect any leveraging of my CS degree to show up here for now. With those thoughts in mind and interested parties that keep asking me to blog, namely friends and family I chose a wordpress blog with some generic features for this venue.

Enjoy and let the Odyssey begin.

The title of this post reminds me of the CBC aired show The Odyssey ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Odyssey_(TV_series) I don’t know if anyone watched it but it was around the time I was trying to read more into things than they were there and relate it to my own life. Mis-spent youth I guess. It’s one of those shows that deserved more air time and viewership than I think it had recieved, though any show that lasts 3 seasons has to have something going for it.

I think I have to mention that I feel the purpose of any good blog is to have people learn more about you and keep track of what you’re up to that otherwise doesn’t get communicated in the short bursts of time that some friends have for each other.

You the reader will get to start fresh here. In the end though I suspect I’ll learn more about myself than you will since I get to edit the parts I don’t want to share to the world and that in itself is a lesson.
